Christopher Columbus's beliefs!
Columbus believed the world was round when most thought it was flat. Then he decided to find a faster route to Asia. He chose to sail west to end up on the east side of the world.
Christopher Columbus's Reasons for Exploration.
Christopher Columbus wanted to go to Asia for all of the 3 G's. The 3 G's are gold, God, and glory. He was a very greedy man because ALL he wanted was gold, money and fame. Also he wanted all of the natives to be Christian, but Columbus didn't bring a priest.
How Columbus treated the Natives.
Christopher Columbus was VERY mean to the Native Americans. First of all when Columbus had just gotten to America, he thought he was in India. This is why he named the Native Americans, Indians. After a while Columbus had started the Columbian exchange. The natives were very kind to Columbus and his sailors, they also seemed very gentle. In a few days after he met them, he took about 550 natives back to Spain for slavery. Then he made them bring him gold about every 3 months. If they didn't have any or didn't bring it to him Columbus would cut off their hands. He was very violent and made them give up their religious ways.
